Every year Nate's family gathers in the Pocono Mountains at Spruce Lake Retreat for 3 or 4 days of camping together. It's like a reunion for his family, and everyone always has a lot of fun. This year we only went for the day because we now had a newborn! Silas was only six weeks old, and it was his first time that far from home. He took the two-hour car ride in stride on the way down, but on the way home Jen had to sit in the back to keep him calm. We had a great time introducing him to his great grandparents, and Nate's aunt, uncle and cousins. The weather was really cold, so the poor baby was bundled up so snuggly that he could barely stay awake all day. He did crack those blue eyes enough to melt his relatives!
