I’ll admit, it’s HARD to restrain myself from buying things that make my life easier. Especially when I’m faced with thousands of them at my local grocery store, mall or Walmart. But I think that we are coming to the point where we will no longer have a choice in the matter…This way of “disposable” living is no longer sustainable.

Visit to Fordhook Farm
We’ve been exposing Silas to more cultural experiences these last few months as he grows older and more interested in the world around him. In early September we took him to the local Oyster Picnic at the Old Goshenhoppen Church up the road.

Crawling is a Go!

Silas' First Birthday Party
To celebrate Silas’ birthday with family and a few friends, we threw a party in our backyard, and the weather cooperated perfectly. It was a beautiful day, and even Silas made it through the evening without too much fuss.

Vote with Your Fork...and Your Money
Although elections only take place twice a year, you can vote everyday with your wallet! This concept just occurred to me recently as I started learning more about genetically-modified food. I read somewhere that we can “vote with our fork” against practices like genetic-modification, and for organic and sustainable agriculture.
